Since its creation in 1999, Epitech, the higher education school of computer science, has demonstrated the relevance of its educational approach, equipping its students with strong technical skills in software engineering, AI, and cybersecurity. Building on its successful establishment in Cotonou, Benin, in 2019, it announces its expansion in sub-Saharan Africa with the opening of a new campus in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, for the 2025-2026 academic year.
With the rise of digital technology in Africa, the demand for IT skills continues to grow. Côte d'Ivoire, as a sub-regional economic hub hosting numerous corporate headquarters and international institutions, offers an ideal environment to host a school of excellence in computer science. Epitech will offer high-level training aligned with market needs to enhance youth employability and accelerate local technological innovation.
An educational model adapted to market requirements
Epitech focuses on an innovative educational approach based on project-based learning, autonomy, and collaboration. This model, already proven in Europe and Benin, aims to equip students with practical skills directly usable by companies. Epitech Benin has thus trained over 400 African talents and professionally integrated 95% of them.
The new Abidjan campus will host two main programs:
  • The Grande École Program (PGE), a five-year excellence curriculum in computer science and innovation, with international mobility in the fourth year;
  • The MSc Pro, a two-year professional training specialized in digital technologies: Big Data, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and digital transformation.
A strategic partnership for a successful establishment
Epitech has renewed its partnership with African Education and Innovation Group (AEIG), a major player in education in Africa. AEIG, already involved in the success of Epitech Benin, will bring its local expertise to ensure the integration and adaptation of the training programs to Ivorian realities.
This partnership is part of a broader dynamic of support for digital education, notably with the We.Code program, which aims to train 300 young Ivorians in web development, data, and cybersecurity professions.
Through this collaboration, Epitech aims to support Ivorian youth in acquiring cutting-edge technological skills while confirming its role as a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation on the African continent.
